Synopsis: Program #123 – “Climate Alarmists” March 9th 2014
Despite the fact that there has been no increase in global temperatures for the past 17 years, the Global Warming/Climate Change cult will not die peacefully. Last month Secretary of State John Kerry told an Indonesian audience that global warming is as big a threat as terrorism; President Obama, in his State of the Union Address told the nation, “The debate is settled. Climate change is a fact…we have to act with more urgency.”
Which of the following reasons can we give for the resilience of the movement? (1) Our politicians are not up to date on the latest science but listen only to MSNBC, (2) It is an excuse to fund and legislate the radical environmentalist agenda, (3) Never let a good crisis go to waste, even if the crisis is unsubstantiated, (4) Global warming can’t die because it is the source of truckloads of special interest money,(5) Global warming empowers government and beats up capitalistic business, (6) We always need a fake crisis to get people’s minds off the real crisis? You decide! All six possibilities work for me.
Because I get questions on how to argue against global warming, and because I have been called in blogs an idiot for my opposition to global warmers, I’m packaging together another program on the subject to argue the point more clearly. I don’t see how anyone could still be a climate alarmist after listening to this program, but I realize that is wishful thinking. Hopefully, if enough commentators refute the climate alarmists, we can put the final nail in the global warming coffin. Then we can move on to the world’s next fabricated crisis, which I fear may be worse. I am going to miss global warming because it was so easy to refute.
This news just in: Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, quit the organization years ago when he says the environmental movement became guided by politics not science. Now he is a spokesperson against the myth of man-made global warming. On February 24th of this year, he testified before congress that there is no scientific proof that human emissions of CO2 are the main cause of the slight warning of the earth’s atmosphere.
