The passing of the $1.3 trillion Omnibus Budget will require the Federal Government to borrow $700 billion this year. Obviously, this is unsustainable. A financial time bomb is in place, especially with 74 million Baby Boomers getting read to retire, but the politicians and the public don’t care. The story is both the coming crisis and the present apathy.

From a historic perspective, coming economic upheaval should be no surprise. It follows that a people who are bankrupt morally will soon become bankrupt financially.
