Program #279 “Immigration – Part 2” – 3/5/2017 – Synopsis
Since the battle over illegal immigration is intensifying, Program #279 is the second of four programs to help Christians understand what the Bible has to say about this issue.
There are really two separate issues, each calling for different Biblical injunctions: Muslim immigration and general illegal immigration. In this program, I address mostly general immigration; and I explain why, out of compassion, it is necessary for the Christian community to oppose illegal immigration and open borders. It is out of the Biblical injunctions to “not afflict” or “not do wrong” to the foreigner that we must build the wall and deport illegals (Exodus. 22:21-23). As is so often the case, the so-called compassion of the secular Left ends up hurting people.
Conservatives need to do a better job communicating the message that it is out of love for immigrants that we oppose open borders and sanctuary cities.
