#137 The Release of Satan

Synopsis: Program #137 – 6/15/2014 “The Release of Satan”

Program #137 is another look at the apostasy which Paul prophesied would take place before the return of Jesus Christ. The first part of the program explains that all Christians generally agree that there will be a release or unhindering of Satan at the end of the church age‒whether you are pre-millennial and get that from 2 Thessalonians 2 or whether you are amillennial and get that from Revelation 20. The great apostasy is inspired by the forces of Hell.

It is crucial that the Christian community know and understand the prophecy of the great apostasy; otherwise, God’s people could become very discouraged and confused by what they see happening in the world.

The bulk of this program explains how the great apostasy was moved along by the leading humanist philosophers of the last two centuries. To illustrate this I do a book review of Benjamin Wiker’s book, Ten Books ThatSscrewed Up The World. These leading secular works document the development of the apostasy.

The books reviewed:

The Prince (1513), Marchiavelli

Discourse on Method (1637), Descartes

Leviathan (1651), Hobbes

Discourse on the Origin and Foundations of Inequality among Men (1755), Rousseau

The Manifesto of the Communist Party (1848), Marx

Utilitarianism (1863), Mills

The Descent of Man (1871), Darwin

Beyond Good and Evil (1886), Nietzsche

The State and Revolution (1917), Lenin

The Pivot of Civilization (1922), Sanger
