#303 Surrogacy

Program #303 “Surrogacy” – 8/20//2017– Synopsis

With all of the other news about the Charlottesville rally, White Supremacists, the Anitifa, and the removal of Confederate statues, I am sure you are not thinking about the scourge of surrogacy in America (Gestational Carry, Rent a Womb); but along with all of the other deviant behaviors to address, undoubtedly, you will have to someday give a Biblical refutation of surrogacy.

I address some of the legal issues now that many states are legalizing surrogacy, but the main concerns for Christians are the moral issues. First, the implantation of eggs into the womb involves fertilizing many eggs that will not be implanted. Since life begins at conception, this is abortion.

Second, there is often third-party reproduction (sperm or egg donation). So five people can be involved: the one donating the egg, the one donating the sperm, the two parents to be, and the woman whose womb is being used. This is a form of adultery as in the case of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar.

Third, there is the emotional trauma and physical danger that the couple desiring a baby puts upon the surrogate.

Fourth, surrogacy creates a rich class who buy babies and a poor class of women who rent out their womb.

Finally, the recent push for surrogacy is to create a way for homosexuals to have children. The ideological motivation is to erase the argument that homosexuality is unnatural and will not perpetuate the human race. Insiders know that new pro-surrogacy legislation is really a “gay baby bill.”

“Do not grant, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; do not promote his evil device, that they not be exalted. Selah. (Psalm 140:8)
