#82 “The Benghazi Cover-Up”

Synopsis – God and Country Radio for May 26th – The Benghazi Cover-Up

The Scriptures often speak of people covering up their sin in order to project a good image to others. Jesus condemned the Pharisees for their hypocrisy. He said to them, “Outwardly you appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness” (Mt 23:28). With unprincipled leaders, you can be sure lawlessness operates behind the scenes. Politicians are especially motivated to cover their crimes because their power and prestige is contingent upon their image. Program #82 discusses the pathetic details of the Benghazi cover-up and then draws some general Biblical principles. The cover-ups of Saul, David and Ahab are reviewed. Fortunately, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23); or as Jesus said, “What you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops” (Luke 12:3). Of course, God calls His people to be involved in this work of exposing sin.
