Program #159 -“The Great Opportunity” – 11/16/2014 – Synopsis

Program #159 is about how persecution provides a great opportunities to share and demonstrate the truth of Christ. Jesus said in Luke 21:13 that being delivered before the courts will “lead to an opportunity for your testimony.” We have heard in the news recently that Christians are being dragged into court for saying or doing things that are politically incorrect in our secular nation. Expect this to increase exponentially. However, the good news is that this is all planned by God to get the Word out in the last days. There is no greater opportunity for us to showcase our beliefs and testimony before the world than when we are before public courts.

The Bible is replete with examples: Moses and Pharaoh, Elijah and Ahab, Jeremiah and Zedekiah, Daniel and Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel and Darius, Esther and Xerses, Steven and the Sanhedrin, Paul and the Proconsul of Cyprus, and Paul before various Roman courts. When the world jails the Christians, everyone will hear what we believe and why we believe it; everyone will see what it means to be a true follower of Jesus Christ.
