#205 Pre, Mid, Post Trib. Pt. 1

Program #205 – #206 “Pre-, Mid-, or Post-Tributation Rapture” – 10/4/2015, 10/11/2015 – Synopsis

Programs #205 and #206 address the controversy in the church concerning when Christians will be raptured off the earth during the prophesied seven-year tribulation – either before the tribulation (Pre-Trib.), in the middle of the tribulation (Mid-Trib.), or at the end of the tribulation (Post-Trib.). Although I have broadcasted many prophetic programs, I have never formally addressed this issue. Given the questions I have received from listeners, it is time to create a program on this subject for future reference.

Now I realize many ministers and ministries are willing to fall on the sword over a particular position. For the last fifty years, Pre-tribulationism has been the most popular position in American Evangelicalism. Personally, I am not tied to any one position. Given the ambiguity in Scripture over the exact timing of the rapture of the church, I tend to believe that when Jesus said, “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons,” that statement extends not only to an inability to know the exact year or day, but also an inability to know when the rapture will take place in regard to the tribulation events. There is not a single text in the Revelation that definitely states, “now is the time the church is raptured.” Post-tribulationism has been the default position throughout most of church history. Pre-tribulationism is a recent 20th– century theory built on questionable inferences and the theological system of dispensationalism.

Although this subject can get quite deep, I hope these programs help you better understand the pros and cons of each position. The time might be nearer than we imagine.
