Program #213-214 “Pre-, A-, Post-Millennialism – Parts 1&2” – 11/29/2015 & 12/6/2015 – Synopsis

Programs #213 and #214 are a two-part series explaining the various views of the Millennium: Pre-millennialism, that there will be an actual thousand-year reign of Christ on earth after the return of Christ. A-millennialism, that the millennium is a reference to the spiritual blessings of the church now and ultimately heaven itself. Post-millennialism, that the church age will end with a thousand-year Christianized world and then Christ will return.

If you think one of these views undoubtedly wins the argument, then you certainly do not fully know the problematic texts of Scripture that brought forth these three interpretations. The preliminary response to this series has been, “I never realized all that was behind these views.” Pre-millennialists have told me the program has made them more receptive of A-millennialism, and A-millennialists have told me the program has made them more receptive of Pre-millennialism. And that is a good thing!

Some may ask, “Why bother to learn the details of these three views since it will all pan out in the end?” Because it is written, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.” (Revelation 1:3)
